The Rules of the Day
First things First
The Big Four
When I fire up the ole desktop I always start with the same set up. On my right hand screen I pull up IQTell, in the middle I pull up BundlePost, and to my left I place Hootsuite and Buffer. This is a routine that is rarely deviated from. IQTell I have spoken about before and really love this tool, it brings so much organization to my daily routine. They recently updated the display and it is even more efficient now. Lets test drive the other tools in my tool kit. BundlePost is by far one of my favorite apps/software tools. The way it integrates with Hootsuite is great. Managing multiple accounts, and keeping up to date with great relevant content is what Bundlepost does best. It is also useful in so many other ways. Robert, Julia, Rich the BP team provide a great useful tool that is utilized by many social media professionals. Thanks to the BundlePost team for all that you do.
Hootsuite just keeps getting better and better in my humble opinion. An absolute must for those that really want to keep your social media accounts organized. They continue to integrate additional social media platforms, including Google Plus, it is one of the few that connects nicely with G+. I spend a good amount of time each day on Hootsuite. If you are serious with social media, it is well worth the extra money to add the Hootsuite University to your account. A great way to learn how to really utilize Hootsuite to it fullest.
I continue to get a lot of use from Buffer, another great tool for scheduling and monitoring multiple accounts. I tend to use Buffer more for add-ons, and Facebook posts. Both Hootsuite and Buffer provide toolbar buttons which makes sharing great content a snap. When it’s 2:00 AM and you find some awesome content that fits perfectly with a client’s recent blog post, using Buffer is a snap to schedule that content for a better time for your client’s audience.
Add a Little Spice to the Mix.
On the Road Again
There’s nothing holding us down, or keeping us back these days. Entire companies are being run from laptops, smartphones and the apps that keep us moving forward in an efficient, productive manner. The sky is the limit, and you are limited only by your imagination. Technology and social media are changing the way the world communicates, and does business.
So what tools do you utilize in the course of your day? I always love to learn about what my colleagues are utilizing, so share your the tools you have in your business tool kit.

Hi Gerry,
I'll add Drop Box, Google Docs, Firefox add-on: Awesome Screen Shot, Coda (code editor and ftp software), Jing and off course my magic bullet blender (app here stands for appliance.)
Cheri
Dropbox I could not live without either,,,thanks for bringing that one up Cheri, I use Docs as well. That is exactly why I enjoy writing these type posts, now I have some new ones to check out. Thanks for adding…
Gerry, you had my attention with "Apps".
Who doesn't love new things to play with?
You've listed many that I use on a daily basis; Hootsuite, Buffer and the many Chrome apps.
I'm just getting started with Bundlepost.
I'm a big DropBox, GoogleDrive and Evernote fan for syncing between workstations and backing up data.
I'm sure there's some replication there so maybe someone should come up with a productivity app to manage productivity apps. :-)
Agreed Ray, and I love your comment, "someone should come up with a productivity app to manage productivity apps. :-)" So true, the list and uses are just endless, I also love IFTTT, another versatile tool. Thanks so much for stopping by and adding to the convo
Great list. I use Dropbox, Buffer, Boomerange, Rapportive, Evernote, AdBlock Plus, Google Translate and Invisible Hand. I hadn't really thought about how many tools I used till you brought it up. Interesting article!
The list keeps piling up doesn't it Carolyn…I just got Rapportive going, and I am also enjoying unroll.me for email. Gonna have to do another post about that one, they come at us fast don't they. Thanks so much joining in and bringing along some new ones to check out.
I'm a big fan of Google Chrome and way too many extensions to mention. But Scoopit, Hootlet and Buffer are on the list as well as Lightshot – which is great for taking screenshots of YouTube vidoes. I use Screencast-o-matic for recording YouTube vids and podcasts and get my edits done with Audacity. Google drive is plays a big role in my daily workflow as well. Google plus is imperative along with Facebook and Twitter. I stopped using StumbleUpon when the revamped the site at the beginning of the year. I rarely use Google Reader because I don't subscribe to blogs via RSS and I'm not over the moon about Evernote – most likely because I don't have a smartphone.
Thanks for the post!
Great list Ileane, just used audacity this morning, and yes gonna have to try Lightshot, and Screencast o matic, always love trying new things, and especially when they are recommendations for colleagues. We are gonna have to hook you up with a smart phone, maybe we should make a smartphone review blog. Actually, I am almost done with my Galaxy Note Smartphone review piece. Stay tuned…thanks so much for stopping by and adding some new tools to our kits. Greatly appreciated.
I've heard wonderful things about Bundle Post, may be something I use in the future. I love the new Pinterest app for Android and I use the buffer daily and scoopit more too. I've yet to try dropbox. I also love Instagram and try to visit it daily on my Droid. Amazon Kindle is great for reading eBooks too. What would we do without our apps?
Isn't it funny how when you stop and think about it, you realize how many apps we rely on. Love dropbox, scoopit, and Pinterest. If you need any info on Bundlepost contact @fondalo, he is an author here on Steamfeed as well. I love Bundlepost, you should really give it a try….
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Always appreciated
I have to keep up on marketing industry trends PLUS staffing news PLUS other employment news that will affect how we do business so I use Flipboard to aggregate all of that for me in one place on my iPad.
I think I found even more to try out after looking through the comments! I love the SocialBa! app in Chrome – it allows me to share some posts between multiple networks, including Google+ – and I love that!
I've been playing with speech to text, or dictation of sorts to cut down on typing, and that seems to work in some places but I'm still playing with different apps to try. I love my Dragon Naturally Speaking but it doesn't translate quite as well to the web for me yet. Great post!
I love and blog about productivity apps so I have got lots of them on my list. My favourites are Soundgecko, Pocket, and Wunderlist. Of late I have been working on making running a habit using Lift and Yog. I also find Google Alerts to be indispensable when it comes to keeping tabs on what's hot in the apps world.
